Club Location
Our club does not have any Club house so to speak. The main area of activity for the club is the Slipway located next to the Ferry Boat Inn on the South Western tip of Hayling Island.
The photo here shows the approach road to the Ferry Boat Inn public
house to the left of the picture. The
Harbour Masters Office can be seen on the right in the
background. The Slipway
itself is straight ahead.
During really busy periods, it is recommended that people do not park in this road whilst they ready their vessels for launching. This causes major congestion and hampers vehicles from entering and leaving the slipway area. The same can be said when recovering, please be considerate to other users of the slipway.
This
is an
alternative view looking East from the botton of the
slipway. The Ferry Boat Inn is located on the right and the Harbour
Masters Office can now be very clearly seen at the top left of the
photo.During the summer months the area becomes very busy. Pay extra attention to enthusiastic tourists and people exiting the pub who may be concentrating more on standing up straight then avoiding slipway traffic.
Please be careful if you decide to launch using the beach area as children regularly play on the slipway and surrounding area and are blissfully unaware of cars and heavy 4x4 trucks.
