16th December - 2007

The Club Committee can confirm that the Langstone Harbour Board have changed the charging system for Personal Watercraft.

Effective for 1st March 2008, Personal Watercraft will be entitled to purchase launch fee's and Harbour dues at the same cost as other water users.

However, Personal Watercraft will have to apply for and purchase an additional Jetski Permit which costs £50.

A full breakdown of the permit cost can be seen in further detail in our permit section or by viewing the appropriate Langstone website page by clicking here

To view the latest announcement from the Langstone Harbour Board please click here

Importantly, valid members of the Hayling Island PWC Club will be entitled to a 100% reduction in the cost of this fee.

Although the Langstone Jetski Permit, will be free to Club members, Club members must still apply for a Permit directly from the Langstone Harbour Master. The Langstone Harbour Master will need to see your Club membership card to receive your discount. NO ID CARD = NO DISCOUNT.

The Committee has issued the following comment. "The Langstone Harbour Boards decision to waive the cost of permits to Club members, indicates how seriously the issue of improving safety is taken by this authority. Responsible owners and users of Personal Watercraft, now have additional financial motivation to join their local club."

1st December - 2007

The Hayling Island PWC Club has been accepted into the RYA Affiliated Club Program.

The Committe has the following comment. "We believe that being a RYA Affiliated Club demonstrates the clubs committment to improving the way Personal Watercraft are perceived at Hayling. Although we have a long way to travel, the Club is committed to its members and the local community to which our sport impacts."

4th October - 2007

We are pleased to announce that during the meeting of the 4th october at The Devils Punchbowl, the Hayling Island PWC Club has formally been agreed and formed.

To enable the commitee to be nimble and effective especially during the early stages of formation, the committee consists of:

A Chairman,
A Secretary,
and a Treasurer

As the club membership grows, and the demands on the committee increase we will look to fill the remaining positions as the commitee deem fit.

Thank you to all involved and for the continued support from other clubs without which, this club would not exist.

Please look out for further updates as we are looking to beat our target launch of the 1st December 2007 and are so far on target.
