The Langstone Jetski PermitTo comply with Local bylaws which have been set by the Langstone Harbour Board, all PWC users, launching from the Langstone Slipways will have to pay certain fees directly to the Langstone Harbour Master who is located next to the slipway in the Harbour Masters OfficeFor
PWC these fees come in two
elements detailed below. Please click here
to view our frequently asked questions page.
The first is a compulsory Jetski
Permit. This permit must be applied for in person at the
Harbour Masters Office.Every
Jetski will require this permit. The permit allows a specified Jetski
permission to navigate from Langstone Harbour and proceed directly to
sea observing the Harbour speed limit and local bylaws. It does not
allow users to operate at speed anywhere in Langstone Harbour.
The Permit, takes the form of a self adhesive label (also referred to as a Plaque) which must be displayed on the craft it was assigned to. Evidence that you have this permit is the display of the plaque. if you do not display this plaque you risk prosecution from the Langstone Harbour Master. This
permit costs £51.50 to
non-members of the HIPWC, although we have now been informed that this
will be increased on March 1st
2010 to £53.25.
If you are a valid member of the HIPWC
the fee will be waived completely by the Langstone Harbour Master. To
obtain a discounted Jetski permit you MUST be a member of the club. To

Annual basis

charging system, is shown below, and is effective from the 1st March

Therefore, any person
looking
to launch their Jetski from the Langstone
Slipway will financially benefit from joining the Club by saving on the
full cost of the Jetski Permit. This is the
first of many benefits
available to club members.
All Jetski permits are valid from 1st March to the end of February the following year in line with Club membership. Please allow ample time for the Club to process your application BEFORE you apply for your dicounted Jetski Permit. Please ensure you have all the necessary plaques in place before you launch (Including your Club Sticker!). If the appropriate plaques can not be seen by the Langstone patrol staff you may be liable for prosecution for non-payment. You have been warned!
