For more deatils about QHM please click here This effects all users leaving Langstone Harbour and taking a turn to starboard, users will then enter the easterly point of the Dock yard Port of Portsmouth. The map below shows the boundaries of the Dockyard Ports of Portsmouth and can be enlarged by clicking on it. PWC have to adhere to regulations laid down by the order. Further details can be viewed from the QHM website by clicking here In summary most PWC entering the Dockyard port of Portsmouth will be required to display a permit issued by QHM. All Club members will be sent details of how to apply for the QHM permit and further details of where the boundaries are and the rules and regulations. This permit is currently free of charge. (click image to enlarge) Please note that this applies to water outside of Portsmouth harbour. These regulations are not limited to inside Portsmouth Harbour so please take some time to ensure you are fully aware of the rules. The QHM has regular patrols to ensure that the Dockyard Port or Portsmouth order 2005 is enforced. You may see some of the QHM Volutneer Harbour Patrol on duty, currently there are 2 PWC patrol craft (pictured above). If you see these PWC on duty, do not hesitate to have a chat, they will be happy to talk to you whilst on duty and advise you on any aspect of their work. Some members of the club volunteer as QHM Harbour Patrol, both on the Patrol boats as well as the QHM Jetski Section. To find out more about the QHM Volunteer Harbour Patrol please click here to be redirected to their website. QHM has kindly set up a Jetski Area just south of Eastney Beach which allows PWC users to operate at speed. Normally PWC would have to adhere to the speed limit stated in the Docyard Port of Portsmouth order but this bouyed area entitles PWC permission to operate at speed. PWC have no special priority in this area, so please ensure you adhere to collision regulations with other craft transiting the area, who may be very much slower, they have just as much right to enter the buoyed area as PWC. Please click on the map for a larger picture. QUICK LINKS
